Drumlough 5 Mile

Wednesday, June 28th, 2006

A well organised, well sponsored race and all for a fiver! Free burger at the end and a tee-shirt, what more could you ask for. The only thing you had to do, run 5 miles. Undulating was the inoperative word. You thought you had finished on the hills and another comes up to bite your heels, but just around the corner you’ve got your downhill recovery. The fortunate or unfortunate thing, you had to do it TWICE. 4 members from SeaparkAC got stuck into the race, with all of us finishing with great times (see results diary page).

Randalstown 10k

Monday, June 26th, 2006

Alan McMillen headed up Seaparks’ entry into the Randalstown 10k on Sunday and fired home 11th out of a field of over 140 with a time of 35:34.

The course went through Shanes Castle before emerging onto the main road to head back into Randalstown. The course undulated through the Castle and became pretty rough with pot holes thrown in for good measure!
