10k - START OF DECEMBER

Thursday, November 15th, 2007

Just a reminder folks, about the ‘Joe-Seeley 10K’ Race coming up on Saturday 8th of December, The well-known Ormeau Park route. It’s such a great 10K to take part in and would be great for Seapark to show the colours on the day this year.

Thats all for now, hope to see you all there and would like to take this opportunity to say keep up with the good training, we are aware of how hard it can be to be motivated during the winter season to keep training, but it is greatly appreciated.

Also on the safety side - just to be careful during the cold and dark conditions, as training at night can be dangerous on the roads.

So keep safe and hope to see you all at the Christmas dinner In December.

DUBLIN MARATHON 2007

Thursday, November 15th, 2007

What a great race it was, with such astonishing results for the seapark team this year. 5 members entered for the big race: Gary Connolly coming in at: 3h:49:18, Pauline Smyth stood up to the challange of this being her 1st marathon, along with being the only female to enter for Seapark this year. She gave it a fantastic shot on the day and the results had complimented this in a time of: 4h:48:48, Bobbie Irvine coming in at: 3h:19:56, it was Rob Gordon turning in at: 3h:21:43, Colin Alexander entered under the name of Doug Heys due to a late switch, coming in at: 3h:38:26.

THESE ARE ALL GREAT RESULTS GUYS!!!, all the training put in, all the diet plans followed, all that preparation finally paid off on the day, and it’s just great to see progression of all our members throughout this year. It’s time to celebrate, relax and enjoy the thought of another year almost over with such achievement.

AGAIN WELL DONE TO ALL!!!
